WEST SPRINGFIELD, Mass. — Eastern States Exposition will present Yuletide at Storrowton Village Museum in West Springfield, Mass., from December 3-10, 2022. The winter festival offers free activities during the opening weekend, and paid tours, workshops, and lantern light experiences through the following week.
Bringing the community together for over four decades, Storrowton Village invites all to join us to celebrate the holiday season with traditional Yuletide activities, entertainment, horse-drawn carriage and trolley rides, and shopping in the historic Village!
Decorated through the generosity of area garden clubs, florists and designers, the Village buildings will be bursting with innovative and original ideas to turn your home into a holiday wonderland. Walk through the buildings to find beautiful wreaths, swags, garlands, fresh evergreens and all natural materials around every corner.
YULETIDE WEEKEND – Dec. 3 & 4 – Free
Yuletide Weekend takes place Dec. 3 and 4 from 10am – 4pm. The following activities and entertainment will be featured throughout the Village during the weekend:
Saturday, Dec. 3
All day activities (10am-4pm): Free ornament-making kids craft in the Potter Mansion, Quill
Pen Letters to Santa in the Eddy Law Office, and Open Hearth Cooking in the Gilbert House.
10am-12pm:

- Trade demonstrators in Greenwich Barn
- Lance Kozikowski, tinsmith

- Carriage rides to and from Eastern States Farmers Market, leaving from behind the Gazebo

YULETIDE OPEN HOUSE TOURS – Dec. 6 – 10
Create your own Yuletide experience and explore the museum’s decorated buildings with a costumed guide during Yuletide Open House Tours. Tour admission is $8 per person and free for children 6 and under. Reserve your tour time ahead or drop in on the hour from 10am – 3pm. Last tour departs at 3pm. Complete your Yuletide experience when you browse for holiday presents in the Museum Gift Shop and Christmas Shop, then visit Storrowton Tavern to enjoy a hearty New England-inspired meal.
LANTERN LIGHT EVENING – Dec. 7
Get a true 19th century New England feel for the holiday season when you visit the ornately decorated buildings by candle and lantern light! Holiday treats included with admission. Add on a carriage ride and visit the Farmers Market for even more festive fun!
HAUNTED YULETIDE GHOST TOUR “SPIRITS OF CHRISTMAS PAST”: Dec. 9
Enjoy one of Storrowton’s Ghost Tours with a Yuletide twist! Take a tour of Storrowton Village Museum and learn about the history of Christmas ghost stories, unexplained occurrences in the Village, the dark side of historic winter festivities, and more!
Spirits of Christmas Past tours are approximately 90 minutes – 2 hours long, and are recommended for ages 12 and up. Photography will be allowed on certain parts of the tour. No video is allowed.
Please check in at the Meeting House where the tour will begin. Dress in layers and wear sensible shoes. Ghost tours are not wheelchair accessible and include walking up and down stairs. Tickets are available for purchase at www.StorrowtonVillage.com.
