SPRINGVALE, Maine — The University of Maine Cooperative Extension will be hosting a Youth Farm Enterprise series for young aspiring farm entrepreneurs from 1:00 – 3:30 PM on December 27, 28 and 31 at the York County office, at 15 Oak St, Springvale. 4-H youth are encouraged to attend and the series will be open to all youth ages 12-18.
Topics to be covered will include:
- Considerations for Starting a Farm Enterprise
- Select and Using a Record Keeping System
- Understanding Developing the Framework of a Business Plan
- Understanding and the basics of Customer Surveys and Marketing
- Sources for Youth Farm Enterprise Grants and Loans
