CHAMPAIGN, Ill. — Come explore agriculture through science! Ag Discovery is a one-day program for 4th and 5th graders that lets youth discover ag through hands-on activities. Activities will cover all aspects of agriculture, including food science, ag engineering, animal science, crop science, horticulture, ag communication, and much more.
Youth will also get to learn all about honeybees and their importance in agriculture through a hands-on honeybee challenge activity. Top minds in their fields will teach the youth about agriculture in a fun environment surrounded by friends!
Ag Discovery will be held on February 18 from 2-8 p.m. at the University of Illinois Extension office in Champaign (801 N Country Fair Drive, Champaign). Registration for participants closes on Friday, February 10. The cost of this day-long program is $10, which includes a pizza dinner and t-shirt.
