NEWBERRY, S.C. — 4-H Agents from around the state have worked hard to create a virtual learning opportunity for our youth ages 5-19 interested in livestock. The Youth Academy for Livestock Learning is an educational event that allows participants to increase their knowledge about beef cattle, dairy cattle, poultry, rabbits, small ruminants (sheep and meat goats) and swine. Participants ages 5-19 can elect to participate with one or any combination of the covered species.
Starting on Monday September 7th, the first educational module will be available and new modules will be released weekly through the week of October 5th for five total learning modules per species. Beginning the week of October 12th and continuing through the end of October, there will be a series of events that will allow participants to show what they have learned as well as interact with other youth participants. There is no cost to participate.
