LINCOLN, Neb. — The number of farm operations incorporating sorghum into their cropping systems has increased dramatically since 2020. In fact, sorghum acres in Nebraska increased by ninety-nine percent in that short that two-year period. The reasons for the renewed interest in grain sorghum are many: From favorable market prices, lower input costs, climatological stresses, and new understandings of the benefits of sorghum in restoring soil biology and breaking up compaction layers, sorghum makes a lot of sense to many new and returning producers.
The Nebraska Grain Sorghum Board and the Nebraska Sorghum Producers Association would like to cordially invite you to attend the 2023 Nebraska Sorghum Symposium. The Symposium is Nebraska’s PREMIER sorghum education event. In addition to networking with peers and industry partners, you’ll hear presentations on agronomy, climate, soil health, research, marketing, and more. CEU’s are available.
The 2023 Nebraska Sorghum will be held on Thursday, January 26, on the campus of the Nebraska College of Technical Agriculture (404 East 7th, Curtis, Nebraska).
