DENVER — The Western Stock Show Association (WSSA), (dba, National Western Stock Show), held the Annual Meeting of the Members virtually on the afternoon of May 13, 2021. Members and trustees tuned into the online session led by Chairman of the Board, Douglas L. Jones.
Board officers were elected at the meeting by proxy. Douglas L. Jones was reelected for another year as Chairman of the Board. Acceptance of Association officers includes Vice Chairman Barth Whitham, Secretary Mark Gustafson, and newly appointed Treasurer Bruce Wagner. Pete Coors continues as Chairman of the Capital Campaign, raising funds to be contributed by the Association to the National Western Center project and the WSSA Legacy Building, the future headquarters of the Association.
Acceptance of the current members to the Board of Directors include Sue Anschutz-Rodgers, Terrance Carroll, Justin Cumming, Don Elliman, Brooke Fox, Dr. Tony Frank, George “Buck” Hutchison, Michael Long, Guy McEndaffer, Nancy Tuor, Ron Williams, and President and CEO, Paul Andrews. Patrick A. Grant continues as Chairman Emeritus.
The annual meeting for all WSSA members usually occurs in person every May at the National Western Complex. Due to continued health and safety concerns, members met virtually for the second consecutive year. The meeting of members serves as a recap of that year’s National Western Stock Show and a projection of future goals for the Association.
The 115th National Western Stock Show will occur January 8-23, 2022, at the National Western Complex. Tickets will go on sale in early Fall.
