With the comment period on the Biden Administration’s  Waters of the United States (WOTUS) proposed definition still open until February 7, 2022, please take some time to listen in on a recent webinar hosted by Rod Gurganus, Beaufort County Cooperative Extension Director and featuring Chad Poole, PhD. and Robert Andrew Branan, JD. RALEIGH, N.C. — With the comment period on the Biden Administration’s  Waters of the United States (WOTUS) proposed definition still open until February 7, 2022, please take some time to listen in on a recent webinar hosted by Rod Gurganus, Beaufort County Cooperative Extension Director and featuring Chad Poole, PhD. and Robert Andrew Branan, JD. “Waters of the United States” is the definitional term for the extent of federal jurisdiction over waters such as wetlands, ditches, tributaries under the Clean Water Act. In effect, the definition determines when a landowner must seek a federal permit to alter land features that have an impact on water quality.
