FORT PIERCE, Fla. — UF/IFAS and St. Lucie County Extension wants to help locals make money off their homemade food products with a special workshop on Saturday, Feb. 22 from 9 a.m. to noon at the Sunshine Kitchen, located inside the Treasure Coast Research Park, 7550 Pruitt Research Center Road.
Do you make the best cookies, jams or breads ever and have a desire to market your product? This workshop will teach you about:
- Laws that allow you to do so from your own home kitchen;
- Food Safety guidelines;
- Basic business skills;
- Food business growth options.
Florida’s Cottage Food laws were recently relaxed, making it easier for operators to increase sales.
