OSCEOLA, Mo. — University of Missouri Extension will present Woodland Steward: Getting to Know Your Woodland from 6-8:30 p.m. January 28th at 555 Walnut St., Osceola, MO.
This program provide information on what you need to know to start managing and improving your woods. This program will be taught by Sarah Havens, Field Specialist in Natural Resources.
Topics will include where to find information about soils and woodland data, tree identification and where to find assistance. “Landowners have a lot of resources available to them but they don’t always know where to find them, says Sarah Havens
“Knowledge is power,” Havens says. “With knowledge gained through Woodland Steward programs, landowners will feel more empowered to make decisions and be involved in the forest and wildlife management of their property.”
