EAST AURORA, N.Y. — Interested in running a vegetable CSA, growing apples, creative marketing, and excellent business management? Come join us and other farming women at McCollum Orchards in Lockport on Sept 30th! This group is open to anyone professionally farming, including employees, and FFA/4-H youth age 16 & up who plan a career in horticulture.
The next WAVES meeting will be held at McCollum Orchards in Lockport, and will be hosted by Bree Bacon. We will be discussing social media marketing and passive farm income. The Ag Skills which will be focused on are season extension, managing CSA’s and tarping. Liz Tee of the Lake Ontario Fruit Program, and Elizabeth Buck Vegetable Specialist Cornell Vegetable Program will be the guest experts on hand.
