PIERRE, S.D. — The results from the 2017 Winter Wheat Variety Trials are a great guide to help producers select the variety for their 2018 winter wheat crop.
The results are grouped by crop zones. The crop zones for small grains are base on soil & climate information.
The recommended varieties are in the top third of the trial over three years for each zone.
Promising varieties are those in the top third of the trial over two years.
