The Southern Maryland Crops Conference and Dinner will be held on Tuesday, November 29th from 4:00pm-8:30pm at the Baden Volunteer Fire Department, 16608 Brandywine Road, Brandywine, MD 20613. The event will include information about the latest crop research and pest management strategies, and attendees will fulfill the requirements for private pesticide applicator recertification and nutrient management voucher training. Registration is required and a fee of $15.
The Washington County Agronomy Day will be held on Wednesday, November 30th from 9:30am-2:30pm at the Washington County Agricultural Center- Multi-Purpose Building, 7303 Sharpsburg Pike, Boonsboro, Maryland 21713. Attendees will be able to earn both private pesticide applicator recertification credits and nutrient management applicator credits. To register, call Amy Simmons at 301-791-1304.
The Northern Maryland Field Crops day will be held on Thursday, December 1st at Friendly Farm Restaurant, 17434 Foreston Rd. Upperco, MD 21155. The event will include various topics and sessions relevant to producers of corn, soybeans, hay and small grains. This meeting serves as recertification for Maryland private pesticide applicators and offers recertification credits for Pennsylvania recertification. Also, producers can attend specific presentations to renew their Maryland nutrient applicator’s voucher. Registration is required and a fee of $28.00 if you pre-register or $35.00 at the door.Â
