LOWVILLE, N.Y. — Educational meeting for commercial and hobby maple producers. Learn about tapping trees, maple tubing, marketing maple products, how sap moves through the trees, climate change, Cornell Maple Research, and much more. $15 covers classroom instruction and lunch with preregistration by January 15, 2010. Youth 16 and under is $5. Walk-ins that day will be accepted on a limited basis at a fee of $25 for classroom instruction and lunch. At International Maple Museum Centre, 9756 State Rte. 812 (Main St.), Croghan, N.Y. starting at 9:00 am.
Lewis County Maple Producers Association Annual Meeting will be held at approximately 2:30 pm and members and non-members are encouraged to stay for this meeting. All are welcome and refreshments will be served. This Association usually includes members from Jefferson, Oneida, Oswego, Upper Herkimer and Lewis Counties.
