WASECA, Minn. — The Southern Research and Outreach Center at Waseca will be hosting the Annual Winter Crops Day Thursday, Jan. 12. Registration begins at 8:30 with the program beginning at 9:00 am. Lunch will be served at noon and the program wraps up at 2:00 pm. The cost is just $40 which includes morning refreshments, lunch and hand-out materials and you do not have to pre-register. CEUs will be available for Certified Crop Advisors.
The topics include: Integrating mid-season application of nitrogen and sulfur into corn production with Jeff Coulter, UM Extension Corn Agronomist, Tar spot and other diseases in corn and soybean with  Dean Malvick, Professor, at the UM Dept. of Plant Pathology, U of M weed research trials with Tom Hoverstad, SROC, Agronomy Researcher and Ryan Miller, Regional Extension Educator, and soil testing and interpretation: what’s important, what’s not, presented by Jeff Vetsch, Nutrient Management Researcher at the SROC.
