MOUNT VERNON, Mo. — The Winter Blackberry Workshop will be Wednesday, November 15, from 1:00 to 4:00 pm at the MU Southwest Research Center, 14548 Highway H, Mount Vernon, Missouri. The cost is $10 per person.
This is the final workshop of the year exploring blackberry production. It will include presentations on:
Blackberry Production focused on fall/winter management – Patrick Byers, University of Missouri Extension horticulturist
Blackberry Economics – Jennifer Lutes, MU Extension agri-business specialist
Recap of the 2017 blackberry season – University of Missouri Extension horticulturist Patrick Byers, as well
A question and answer period will be followed by an examination of the RCA (rotating cross arm trellis system) blackberry planting on site.
