SEDALIA, Mo. — Missouri junior Angus members led 160 entries at the 2021 Missouri Junior Angus Preview Show at the Missouri Cattlemen’s Association All-Breeds Show, held on June 12 in Sedalia, Mo. Ty Bayer, Ringle, Wis., evaluated the nine bulls, 98 owned females, 42 bred-and-owned females, five cow-calf pairs and six steers before naming the champions.
MES Music Man 903-650 claimed the grand champion bred-and-owned bull title after first winning senior champion. Mardee Sadowsky, Eagleville, Mo., owns the September 2019 son of Colburn Primo 5153.
LK Intuition 010 was named reserve grand champion bred-and-owned bull. Alexis Koelling, Curryville, Mo., owns the March 2020 son of C&C Intuition 7104 and first won junior champion.
Alexis Koelling led EXAR Forever Lady 98449 to grand champion owned female. The September 2019 daughter of Conley Express 7211 first claimed senior champion honors.
Hunters Blackbird 043 PBCC won the reserve grand champion owned female title after being selected as senior calf champion. Rance Wheeler, Paris, Mo., owns the September 2020 daughter of EXAR Blue Chip 1877B.
Gerloff Pride Ever 002 was named the grand champion bred-and-owned female after first winning junior champion. Olivia Gerloff, Bland, Mo., owns the January 2020 daughter of Colburn Primo Ever 002.
Alexis Koelling claimed reserve grand champion bred-and-owned female honors with Meyer LK Forever Lady 0139. The October 2020 daughter of EXAR Blue Chip 1877B first won the senior calf champion title.
Annaliese Mead, Barnett, Mo., showed the grand champion cow-calf pair. Mead Emma T002 is a December 2018 daughter of PVF Surveillance 4129. A January 2021 bull calf sired by Stevenson Turning Point completes the winning pair.
Jace Pipkin, Republic, Mo., exhibited the reserve grand champion cow-calf pair. Cherry Knoll Lady 1835 is an April 2018 daughter of PVF Insight 0129. Her calf is a March 2021 daughter sired by KR Cadillac Ranch.
Tyler Meier, Jackson, Mo., exhibited the grand champion steer. Hunter Primo 015 is a March 2020 son of Colburn Primo 5153.
Ciara Raithel, Mexico, Mo., led CR Toad 0384 to the reserve grand champion steer title. He is a March 2020 son of SydGen Jeremiah 8360.
