WINCHESTER, N.H. — On Saturday, May 4th all are invited to the Winchester Local Food Festival, a one-day community celebration at the Winchester Farmers’ Market on Main.
This free event, now in its third year, is sponsored by the Winchester Revitalization Economic (RED) Committee, Picadilly Farm, and numerous local businesses and community partners. Winchester community members donate their time each year to plan the festival, an event they say is “a celebration of the Winchester region’s local food purveyors, farmers, and artisan food producers, working to provide the best, freshest, and healthiest food, accessible to all area residents.”
This year’s festival will again take place at the Winchester Farmers’ Market located in & outside Winchester Town Hall on May 4th from 10am-2pm. Attendees will enjoy free local food samples scattered throughout the festival provided by local restaurants, businesses, and farmers’ market vendors. Activities and demonstrations will be happening throughout the event and include locally-sourced raffle baskets, a cooking demonstration by local Chef, Jordan Scott, of Machina Kitchen & ArtBar, live music by local band Black Jack Crossing, and much much more!
This is a kid-friendly event with activities for all to enjoy. In addition to the Food Festival, Winchester residents will be celebrating the wider Winchester Community Day with a 5K Race sponsored by the ELMM Community Center and Annual Town-Wide Clean Up. All are invited to make a day of it in Winchester in celebration of local food, community, health, and fun!
For more information on this event, visit the Winchester Farmers Market on any Saturday from 10am-2pm or check them out on Facebook. Those interested in volunteering for next year’s event should send an email to winchesterfarmersmarket@gmail.
