SALEM, N.Y. — The beginning of March means only one thing: it’s maple season! Maple Weekends in the Upper Hudson Region will be held March 21-22 and March 28-29. Producers will open their doors to visitors looking to experience firsthand the maple making process and taste the many incredible maple products that local sugarhouses make available this season.
Wild Hill Maple, located at 366 Carney Cassidy Road in Salem, has participated in the New York Maple Weekend since 2006. Once again they are excited to open their doors to visitors looking to get their families out of the house and get their hands on some delicious maple products. Wild Hill Maple will be offering several on-site activities for those of all ages, including scavenger hunts, hands-on crafts, tours, and wildlife identification. Wild Hill Maple places a great emphasis on education and looks forward to informing their visitors about a number of topics, such as the health benefits of their products, different maple grades, woodland sustainability, and especially all the fun that goes hand in hand with the maple industry.
Wild Hill Maple appreciates repeat visitors and is open year round, even when maple season is finished. They are family friendly and love helping families make a tradition out of visiting the farm each year.
