ORANGE CITY, Iowa — The Iowa State University Extension and Outreach Dairy Team monthly webinar series continues on Wednesday, Nov. 18 from 12 noon to 1 p.m. This program “What’s Changing on the New Sire Summaries?” features a presentation by Dr. James Koltes, Assistant Professor, Iowa State University.
Koltes received his bachelor’s degree in Dairy Science and Genetics from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and Ph.D. from Iowa State University in Genetics. His research focus at Iowa State is on the use of genetics and genomics to develop more disease and stress resistant dairy cattle.
During the webinar, Koltes will discuss what changes have been included in the new dairy sire summaries in December.
