ALBANY — The Capital Area Agriculture & Horticulture Program and CCE Albany County are pleased to announce an upcoming event, What Rental Rate Should I Charge for My Land? This online meeting will be held on April 1, 2021 from 7:00 – 9:00 PM EDT.
Do you own land that you rent to farmers? Are you a farmer who rents land for your farm business? A one-night virtual meeting for rural farmland owners who are lessors and farmers who are lessees will offer information about how to establish farm rental rates. With a better understanding of how farm rental rates are established, both lessors and lessees will be satisfied and have a lower risk of misunderstanding farmland rental agreements.
Dayton Maxwell, Nicole Tommell and Steve Hadcock will share information from a farm rental rate survey that has been conducted in the six counties the CAAHP team covers. The presenters will also share various ways for lessors to determine a farm rental rate for the property they wish to rent.
The price of this event is $20 per family. Register online at https://tinyurl.com/WhatRentalRate or contact cce-caahp@cornell.edu or (518)765-3518 for assistance in registering. You will be sent a link to join the Zoom meeting once your registration is complete.
Questions should be directed to Steve Hadcock at seh11@cornell.edu or 518-380-1497.
