WEST LIBERTY, Ohio — The West Liberty-Salem FFA chapter held their annual Elementary Ag Science day on May 11. FFA members taught elementary students about agriculture.
The students learned about farm animals, equipment and farming. The elementary students learned about horses, donkeys, chickens, steers, pigs, goats, sheep, alpacas, ducks and turkeys.
At each station, chapter members shared information with the elementary students and allowed them to ask questions to better inform them about agriculture. The equipment included two tractors, a skid loader and a hay bine.
The FFA members had a cook out which included the past State FFA reporter, Evan Callicoat. He joined in helping the students as well. Special thank you to Heritage Cooperative for allowing us to use your gates.
