SYRACUSE, N.Y. — The U.S. Department of Agriculture’s (USDA) Farm Service Agency (FSA) in New York, in conjunction with the New York State Maple Producers’ Association is hosting a webinar about the Coronavirus Food Assistance Program (CFAP) specifically for maple producers. The webinar will be Wednesday, September 2nd at 7pm.
The Coronavirus Food Assistance Program (CFAP) is available to farmers and ranchers whose commodity prices have been directly impacted by the coronavirus pandemic. CFAP provides direct relief to producers who faced price declines and additional marketing costs due to COVID-19. Maple sap (syrup) was recently added to the list of eligible specialty crops. The webinar will highlight program information and discuss the application process.
