JUNEAU, Wis. — The next webinar in the Professional Dairy Producers® (PDPW) World Class Webinars Series, “Weather: more than a guess” will take place on Wed., June 14, 2017 from 12 to 1 p.m. CT. This webinar series is facilitated by weather expert, Eric Snodgrass, Director of Undergraduate Studies for the Department of Atmospheric Sciences at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and co-founder of Global Weather and Climate Logistics, LLC.
The June webinar, titled “Weather Outlook for summer and fall,” will discuss the volatile summer months of July and August. June is a pivotal time for grain markets and late summer months can make or break a farming operation. In addition to providing rain and temperature forecasts for the next 30 days, Snodgrass will assess the current progress of the growing season and share stressors across the country that could impact grain prices moving forward.
Attendees will leave equipped with the knowledge to analyze how past weather events have moved grain markets during the summer, and provide the latest long-range forecasts through the end of the growing season.
