WITHEE, Wis. — Final Field day for 2019 will be held at the Clark Turner Farm field located just west of the county O and N intersection south of Withee (watch for field signs) on Wednesday, October 23, 2019 from 12:30-3:00.
This site is an on farm demonstration plot providing information on interseeding of cover crops in corn and cover crops planted after corn silage harvest.
Topics and speakers for the day:
- Jim Arch and Amanda Kasparek from Clark County Land Conservation office will led the field walk to review the interseeded cover crops and the cover crops seeded after corn silage harvest.
- Richard Halopka, Senior Outreach Specialist Clark County Extension will review 2019 growing season and review some soil health aspects of reducing tillage and use of cover crops.
Jim Arch will wrap up the day with plans for site in 2020.
This will be a rain or shine event so please dress accordingly. Continuing Education Credits are available for CCA agronomists.
