ESSEX JUNCTION, Vt. (AP) — It’s that time of year again, time for Vermont’s annual farm show.
The event kicks off Tuesday and runs through Thursday at the Champlain Valley Exposition in Essex Junction.
The Farm Show includes agricultural equipment, information, products and livestock on display.
Organizers say this year includes more animals than ever.
Wednesday is consumer night, with a buy local market and the annual capital cook-off in which state legislators and the Agency of Agriculture staff compete to create the best dishes made from local ingredients.
The venue also hosts meetings of agriculture associations like the Vermont maple sugar makers, beekeepers, beef producers, specialty foods and sheep and goat associations.
