MINNEAPOLIS — Join us for Fridays on the Farm! We’ll virtually tour shops and fields and hear the soil health stories of Minnesota farmers. Tours will be held every other Friday starting July 10, at 11 am. The events will be held via Facebook Live from the UMN Extension Cover crops page.
On July 10, we’ll start in Lincoln and Lyon County with a crop and livestock farmer. He practices no-till and cover crops on his cropland. He raises beef, pork, and chicken on pasture using management intensive grazing.
Only July 24, we’ll visit Todd County. This farmer has 10 years of cover crop experience, more than a decade of no-till experience, and now he’s trying some strip-tilling.
