WATERTOWN, N.Y. — Cornell Cooperative Extension of Jefferson County will be hosting a Poultry 101 Workshop.
The Virtual Poultry workshop will be held on Thursday, May 21, 2020 from 6:00pm-8:00pm. COVID19 has made many families think about food security and an easy place to start is by raising your own chickens for meat or eggs.
This workshop will be offered as an online class through Zoom, structured for beginners to learn the basics in raising chickens and turkeys from start to finish. The class will include information on the best management practices, bird care, production models, processing and marketing of poultry.
