ORISKANY, N.Y. — For over 20 years Cornell Cooperative Extension (CCE) Oneida County and the Oneida County Farm Bureau have hosted a spring Farm Fest Field Trip for Oneida County 4th and 5Th grade students to a county farm. This year, like a lot of events, we are doing things a bit differently.
During April, teachers can register their classes for CCE’s FREE virtual Farm Fest events for Oneida County Students Kindergarten through 5th grade.
- 2021 Farm Fest will be presented through May & June and feature:
- Multiple short topic related videos pertaining to different aspects of farming
- Live Q&A Zoom with a local farmer
- *Why Milk …? Poster Contest
- FREE Activities Bucket (limited supply) which includes:
- Seed Starting
- Make it with Wool Kit
- Embryology Kit
- Ice Cream Making Kit

*The Why Milk….? poster contest is sponsored by Oneida County Dairy Promotion. One poster from each grade will be chosen as a winner. The winning youth will win a Steve Spangler Science Activity Kit sponsored by Stewarts Shops Inc. The winning teacher of the student will receive a $50 gift certificate for supplies from AG in the Classroom compliments of Oneida County Farm Bureau.
