STROUDSBURG, Pa. — Monroe County 4-H is offering a new exciting virtual program for youth ages 8 to 12 (age as of January 1 of the current year). The Junior Master Gardener Program is a flexible youth horticulture program run by certified Penn State Master Gardeners. Participants will learn about the many aspects of horticulture including plant growth & development, soils & water, insects & plant diseases, landscape horticulture, fruits and nutrition, and vegetables/herbs. This club will use hands-on learning, along with individual and group learning experiments.
The club will meet virtually once a month from 2:00 – 3:00 PM on the following dates:
November 15th – Bulb forcing and Garden Journal
December 13th – Make a terrarium (for yourself or as a gift)
January 10th – Making plant people
February 14th – Seed Starting
