RALEIGH, N.C. — Ten percent of farmers in the United States have served in the Armed Forces. That’s over 350,000 men and women in the United States, with nearly 9,000 of them in North Carolina. Amid the rise in interest in veterans in agriculture, we talk to four of them about their farming and homesteading experiences.
