RIVER FALLS, Wis. — The University of Wisconsin-River Falls is one of nine University of Wisconsin schools to make MONEY magazine’s “Best Colleges For Your Money” list for 2017-18.
The magazine ranked 2,400 colleges and universities across the United States in six different categories and chose the top 711 as best values for affordability, educational quality and alumni success. UW-River Falls made the ‘best value list”.
UW-River Falls was ranked as the 19th least expensive four-year school in the nation in estimated price to attend without financial aid, and 64th in the nation in estimated price to attend with an average grant.
“The university is committed to offering a high-quality education that is also affordable, and over the past few years we have also significantly increased our commitment to student scholarship support,” UW-River Falls Chancellor Dean Van Galen said. “We are delighted that MONEY has recognized UW-River Falls as a “Best College for Your Money.”
Colleges and universities were ranked in the following categories:
- Median SAT/ACT score
- Estimated 2017-18 price without aid
- Estimated 2017-18 price with average grant
- Percentage of students who receive need-based grants
- Percentage of students who receive merit grants
- Early career earnings for graduates
