PIGEON FALLS, Wis. — A southeast farmer meeting in partnership with Jefferson County UW-Extension is set to take place at the end of the month. The UW Discovery Farms Program will share tile drainage and nitrogen use efficiency research results. Local resources available to farmers and advisors will also be highlighted. This event is meant to offer applicable information to area farmers and provide ample time for discussion. The meeting will include a meal and is free of charge. RSVP is requested for meal planning purposes.
Topics include:
- Two years of Nitrogen Use Efficiency Project results from Dodge, Jefferson, and Rock Counties
- Controlling nutrient loss from tile-drained land
- Local resources, including The WaterWay Network, an online discussion forum
