TUCKER, Ga. — The goal of ergonomics is to ‘fit the job to the person,’ rather than making the person fit the job, to ensure that the work environment is as comfortable and safe for the worker as possible. USPOULTRY has updated its Ergonomics at Work Training Program and is providing the information in an online, self-paced series.
This narrated, interactive program provides training for supervisors in five parts: Introduction to Ergonomics, Understanding Musculoskeletal Disorders, Risk Factors, Ergonomic Controls and Task Analysis Tools. The training program also includes useful resources for download to allow USPOULTRY member companies to customize the program to include company-specific training and procedures.
This program is part of USPOULTRY’s Learning Management System and is free to USPOULTRY members. The USPOULTRY LMS can be accessed by visiting the USPOULTRY website at www.uspoultry.org/training. For more information and to register for this course, please contact Matt Spencer at mspencer@uspoultry.org.
