GREENWICH, N.Y. — David B. Holck will be retiring at the end of January 2023 after 39 years of service (along with almost 2 years of sick leave he never used) to the agricultural producers in Washington, Warren, Saratoga, and Rensselaer Counties.
Throughout his years at Farm Service Agency, Dave has trained over 20 Program Technicians, 10 interns, and more than 12 County Executive Directors throughout the state. He has worked for 42 County Committee members (that is a lot of Bosses), served under 8 State Executive Directors, 7 District Directors and 6 Presidents of the United States.
Dave’s passion and knowledge of the agricultural industry will be greatly missed by all that were lucky enough to have worked with him throughout the past 39 years. His always upbeat personality, his willingness to share his knowledge, his ability to teach the young and old alike, his words of wisdom, his true caring for his co-workers and his farmers along with his sense of humor will mark the end of an era, however the friendships he has formed will last forever.
We would like to honor Dave, at an Open House, being held Friday, January 20, 2023, from 1-5PM at The Greenwich Elks Lodge, 130 Bulson Rd, Greenwich, NY 12834. If you cannot attend, cards (with stories) can be sent to his office at Farm Service Agency, 2530 State Route 40, Greenwich, NY 12834.
