FORT WAYNE, Ind. — Registration is currently open for the second class of the Urban Agriculture Certificate hosted by Purdue Extension – Allen County.
The Urban Agriculture Certificate is a yearlong program to help develop urban agriculture projects in the greater Fort Wayne area. This program is great for market farms, community gardens, educational gardens, and those wishing to get hands-on learning about vegetable and fruit production.
The certificate features 26 class sessions on Monday and Thursday evenings from November through March covering community building, site assessment, production practices, and budgeting. Additionally, participants will take six local farm tours and develop or enhance their own project plan.
