GREENWICH, N.Y. — Did you miss your maple fix this spring? You’re in luck: this year, you can do your leaf-peeping with a side of maple! Starting Friday October 9 and running through Sunday October 18, New York’s Fall Maple Tour will allow you to visit a number of local maple producers. The producers in the Upper Hudson region will open their doors to visitors looking to enjoy the region’s maple assortment and experience how New York’s delicious maple products are made. And the producers will ensure the safety of visitors by following recommended Covid-19 safety precautions.
Sugarmakers in the Upper Hudson region are eager to welcome visitors during the Fall Maple Tour. Each farm is unique, with something different to offer, so try to fit in two or three … or more! The Fall Maple Tour is a fantastic way to get your hands on the fine products the Upper Hudson region has to offer while also meeting the producers that make New York the largest maple-producing state in the United States.
As sweet as the experience is, remember most sites are rustic and muddy. Wearing layers and insulated footwear is highly encouraged when navigating the sites. In addition, remember to observe social distancing protocols in close-proximity areas.
