BROOME CO., N.Y. — Cornell Cooperative Extension of Broome County is very proud to partner with the FarmOps program at Cornell Small Farms to provide hands-on training and support for veterans in New York and New Jersey who are engaged in agriculture, or looking to transition to agriculture as an enterprise or lifestyle choice. These trainings are offered at low cost with support from a grant with the Canandaigua VA. Our upcoming trainings in the next few months include:
- Live-virtual: Pruning Your Home Orchard – March 12th at 1pm
- In-Person: Seed Starting for Your Garden – March 26th at 9am
- In-Person: Learn the Art of Cheesemaking – March 26th at 1pm
- Virtual: Exploring the Small Farm Dream – Monday evenings in April, 6:30-9pm
- In-Person: Learn the Art of Making Pasta – April 9th at 9am
- In-Person: The Business of Maple – May 7th at 9am
- In-Person: Learn to Grow Ginger & Turmeric – May 14th at 1pm
