COLUMBIA, Mo. — If your community is thinking about broadband funding, the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act funds become available to local governments in August. Funds can be allocated to “necessary investments in water, sewer, or broadband infrastructure.” Projects that communities are interested in completing to address the digital divide – include new infrastructure efforts to help residents afford broadband service at home – may be eligible for support from a variety of new federal programs. The MU Extension Broadband Initiative has created the Digitally Connected Community Guide, connect with them here: https://mobroadband.org/digitally-connected-community-guide/
