DURHAM, N.H. — The Thompson School of Applied Science will host the 12th annual Poinsettia Open House on Thursday, November 30th from 10 a.m. – 6 p.m., and from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, December 1 & 2 at the Thompson School Greenhouses at 13 Botanical Lane on the UNH campus in Durham, NH.
Now in its 12th year, this event is free and open to the public. Many varieties of student grown poinsettias will be available for purchase on all three days and throughout the holiday season. Guests are encouraged to vote for their favorite varieties, and this information is used to inform future variety selection.
The Thompson School Horticulture Club will be decorating and selling wreaths, Culinary Arts students will be selling goodies, and the UNH Woodsmen Team will have fresh-cut Christmas trees for sale. Jonathan Ebba, Horticulture Facility Manager, said, “I’m delighted to have so many Thompson School programs coming together for this event.”
Metered parking will be available on Thursday and Friday at the UNH visitor center, which is directly across Sage Way from the greenhouses. Parking on Saturday is free.
