MARIANNA, Fla. — The annual UF Peanut Field Day will be held at the North Florida Research and Education Center (NFREC) in Marianna on Thursday, August 15, 2019. The event will start with registration at 7:45 AM (CDT) and conclude with a sponsored lunch on-site at NFREC.
CEUs will be available at registration. This event has been approved for Florida pesticide CEUs (up to two), Georgia pesticide CEUs, and Certified Crop Adviser (CCA) CEUs.
Field tours will begin promptly at 8:40 AM. Five tour groups will rotate through six tour stops. Topics to be addressed include spray programs & disease management, herbicide use, cover cropping, spotted wilt issues, variety updates, and equipment use.
Speakers will include Nick Dufault (UF/IFAS), Ethan Carter (UF/IFAS Extension), Steve Li (AU), David Wright (UF/IFAS), Charles Barrett (UF/IFAS), Albert Culbreath (UGA), Barry Tillman (UF/IFAS), and representatives from various equipment companies.

Directions
From I-10, take Exit #142 (State Road 71, Marianna). Go north on SR-71 for approximately 2 miles. Turn left onto US-90, heading west. Go about 3 miles, then take SR-71 where the road branches off to the right. Follow SR-71 north for about 6 miles. The Center is on the left.
