MARIANNA, Fla. — In late July, the Jackson County Extension Office sent post card reminders to local farmers for the annual UF Peanut Field Day scheduled for August 11th. If you did not receive a post card then you are not on our mailing list OR you are not coded as a row crop farmer. If interested in being added the mailing list, please call the office (850-482-9620), provide your name and mailing address, and say that you wanted added for Row Crops.
The Peanut Field Day will take place at the UF/IFAS Research Station in Marianna (3925 HWY 71, Marianna, FL 32446). Registration opens at 7:45am CST, and the covered wagons will leave the buildings at 8:30am, so don’t be late! Throughout the morning, wagons will rotate through six speaker stops and we will conclude with lunch at 12pm CST.
Certified Crop Advisor, as well as Florida and Georgia pesticide CEUs will be available at the event. Approved Florida CEUs include a max of 3 from the following list: 1 Core, 2 Demo & Research, 2 Private, or 2 Row Crop.
Hope to see you Thursday,
–Ethan Carter, UF/IFAS
