MADISON — The University of Wisconsin-Madison Division of Extension’s Badger Crop Connect webinar series will host the last two webinars of the growing season on Sept. 9, 2020 and Sept. 23, 2020.
The series provides agronomists, crop consultants and farmers with timely crop updates from Extension experts.
Topics and speakers for the Sept. 9, 2020 and Sept. 23, 2020 sessions are:
- Sept. 9: Shawn Conley, UW-Madison professor and Extension Soybean and Small Grains Specialist will provide the Top 10 recommendations for Winter Wheat establishment in 2020 and the 2020 Wisconsin Winter Wheat Trial Results; and Dan Smith, Nutrient Pest Management, will discuss fall weed seed management.
- Sept. 23: Francisco Arriaga, UW-Madison associate professor and Extension Soil Science Specialist will discuss soil compaction – preventing, measuring and reducing (tires, loads and soil conditions; and Carrie Laboski, UW-Madison professor and Extension Soil Science Specialist will discuss lime, manure and more – tips to get your 2021 crop off to a good start this fall.
