LAKEWOOD, Colo. — CNGA will offer two virtual educational events in the coming weeks. Up first, “Strategies for Efficient Water Use in Horticulture” is Thursday, October 29 from 8:30 – 11:30 am. With the increased probability and frequency of drought, getting the most out of your water supply is absolutely vital. This workshop will provide a variety of useful topics for improving your use of water in nursery and greenhouse operations. This will be a virtual workshop. Second is the 2020 Horticulture Leadership Retreat featuring Dr. Charlie Hall, Friday, November 6 from 8:30 am – 3 pm. This virtual meeting will connect you to valuable business knowledge and expertise. After many years of trying, we have booked Dr. Charlie Hall, renowned horticultural economist from Texas A&M! He will give you the latest information on his highly valued economic forecast as well as an economically-focused discussion of the election results and his predictions for spring 2021.
The program will also include useful updates from the Colorado Dept. of Agriculture, from an American Hort policy expert and from the Colorado legislature.
