HARRISBURG, Pa. — The Pennsylvania Agronomic Education Society (PAES) annual conference was held last week at the Wyndham Garden Hotel at Mountain View Country Club in Boalsburg, PA. The two-day conference featured an array of educational and informational sessions providing continuing education credits for Certified Crop Advisors.
The highlight of this year’s conference was the recognition of the 2021 and the 2022 Member of the Year Award. Craig Altemose received the 2021 award and Ken Glick received the 2022 award.
Craig Altemose, retired from Penn State where he was known for his research and education on soybeans used for forage and edible varieties used for Edamame. Craig finished his career in administration with Penn State as an interim Central Region Director and District 7 director.
Ken Glick, is with Union Mill Soil Service in Belleville. Ken is recognized as a quiet leader that just gets things done. He has served as the PAES board president and on various industry committees but he is known by his family and friends as the guy that can fix most anything with some WD-40 and duct tape.
