CENTENNIAL, Colo. — The USDA has designated Mesa and Otero counties as primary natural disaster areas, qualifying them for natural disaster assistance. The severe drought has greatly affected agriculture operations in the area.
Producers in these areas may apply for FSA’s emergency loans and other emergency disaster assistance.
Other Colorado counties that qualify for disaster assistance include: Bent, Delta, Gunnison, Las Animas, Pitkin, Crowley, Garfield, Kiowa, Montrose, and Pueblo.
