SAN ANGELO, Texas — Join us in listening to Frank Price (4th generation Sterling County rancher, cow-calf operation ) and Jenny Pluhar (Ranch Manager for 26-years on 80,000 acres across 4 ranches and Executive Director of Texas Grazing Land Coalition with 11 regional coalitions) emphasize the art and science behind range management on October 7, 2021 from noon-1 p.m. (CST).
More specifically, our speakers will cover the unique relationship between rangeland and grazing livestock. For over 100 years, science has been sounding the alarm, calling for better land stewardship, warning that overstocking and continuously grazing rangeland leads to degradation of rangeland and exhaustion of the resource. But the stewardship role has been overlooked and disjointed from the science. Frank and Jenny will take a boots-on-the-ground approach covering the art of land stewardship and collaboratively and creatively how to utilize the resources and tools available to create the art.
Texas Grazing Land Coalition has 10 regional coalitions across Texas. Learn more about how Frank and Jenny have brought ranchers together through GLC exchanging ideas, comparing “what worked for me” and sharing insight into the valuable educational tools available.
