TRIUMPH OF AGRICULTURE SALUTES FARMER VETERANS
The Triumph of Agriculture Exposition would like to thank all of our American Farmers that have served our country in the Armed Services. The 2022 Triumph of Ag Expo will highlight stories of those that put their lives on the line, stepped up to protect us, and continues that spirit of service in new ways that includes putting food on our tables every day.
This person not only served our country in the Armed Services but chose a career in farming, and contributed to the betterment of our farm community. There has always been a strong connection of veterans to agriculture. Statistically, Rural Americans are more likely to enlist in the military than those in urban areas. In one report, Nebraska Farmers and Ranchers make up half of the state’s 133,000 veterans. So, it’s no surprise when many veterans return to the rural communities they called home before their military service.
We are accepting nominations of deserving persons for this new special recognition. Please join us along with the Center for Rural Affairs at omahafarmandranch.com and nominate someone you feel deserving of the “Veterans in Farming” Award.
