WESTMORELAND, N.H. — Last summer we held a series of farm meeting with Larry Tranel from Iowa in place of the traditional Dairy Conferences usually held in March across New England. This was in response to COVID. The meetings went very well, and we had over 80 people in attendance at the three locations. We are going to continue with this format again this summer.
The topic will be “Calf Management” and the speaker will be Dr. Pete Erickson, Extension Dairy Specialist from UNH.
July 25- Maine location: this will be at Hemond Farm, 232 Pottle Hill Road, Minot, ME

July 26- New Hampshire location: Stuart Adams family’s Windyhust Farm in Westmoreland. They have good examples of small calf and large heifer facilities and a new modular milking parlor. It will be an informal event with Pete talking as we tour the farm.
