VERNALIS, Calif. — The Open House and Fundraiser at the Frank Bettencourt Memorial Museum showcases one of the nation’s most extensive collections of vintage farm tractors that are mostly John Deere.
It will also raise funds for the “Barnstormers” who maintain the tractors and exhibit them at parades and events. The Barnstormers are a small group of tractor enthusiast that meet twice monthly and service the 35 fully restored tractors.

Frank Bettencourt who farmed on the west side of Stanislaus County collected and painstakingly restored the 35 wheel and track-layer tractors. Mr. Bettencourt passed away in 2016 and his children donated the collection to the Patterson Township Historical Society in Patterson.
The tractors will be on display for all ages to see and admire. A BBQ lunch will be served with all the fixings. The lunch can be enjoyed in the museum or taken to go.
Tickets are $25 per plate.
