COLLEGEVILLE, Pa. — The Master Gardeners of Montgomery County are offering tours of their Demonstration & Learning Gardens on Saturday, September 17th at 9:30 & 10:45 AM. The Gardens are located at 1015 Bridge Road (Route 113), Collegeville, PA 19426.
This tour will focus on several sections of the garden including the Pollinator, Shade and Universal Access Garden which features native perennials and shrubs as well as vegetables. Visitors will learn the focus and rationale behind each area, how plantings evolved to overcome specific challenges, and future plans.
Tours will be led by Master Gardeners of Montgomery County, volunteers who have been specially trained and certified by Penn State Extension. Master Gardeners provide education on a broad range of horticultural topics and can advise community residents on best practices based on university research and recommendations. They are also responsible for the design, plant selection, planting, and maintenance of all the gardens.
There is no charge for the tours and children are welcome. Registration is required as space for each tour is limited.
